Applications
are invited from suitably qualified Lesotho nationals to
fill the position of Director of Administration at the
Central Bank of Lesotho. This is a senior management
position to head the Department of Administration. The
incumbent will be directly responsible to the Governor or
Deputy Governor responsible for administration.
The successful candidate shall be appointed on a five-year
contract period.
1. DUTIES:
The Director of Administration will be responsible for the
following duties, amongst others:-
a) Organisational planning and development strategies for
the Bank;
b) Development of proposed policies and procedures as
necessary on all administrative matters not covered by
policies.
c) Overall human resource management including staff
welfare, and recruitment and training;
d) General administration of offices and other property of
the Bank, ensuring that buildings and equipment are kept in
good state of maintenance and repair;
e) Oversee the procurement process in terms of policies and
procedures, and ensuring proper implementation of the
budget.
f) Ensure and oversee the implementation of proper security
systems throughout the Bank and at its other properties in
and around Maseru.
g) Prepare and submit weekly management reports for the
Executive Committee and also the Board of Directors whenever
required.
2. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
A Master’s degree in any one of the following areas:
i) Business Administration
ii) Public Administration
iii) Management or equivalent qualifications.
In addition, candidates must have relevant experience of ten
years, five of which should have been in a senior managerial
position. Computer skills will be an added advantage.
