The Central Bank of Lesotho intends to enter into a lease agreement with a suitable firm/company for the supply and delivery of the cardiovascular equipment of the gymnasium for the Lehakoe Recreation and Cultural Centre(LRCC). This agreement is for a period not exceeding 60 months.

Tender Conditions

1.       Mandatory site inspection is scheduled for March 25, 2010 at the centre at 9:30 hrs.

2.       Bidders must clearly show the validity of their bids.

3.       Bids in sealed envelopes clearly marked “Bid for the lease agreement for the supply and delivery of the cardiovascular equipment of the gymnasium of LRCC” bearing no identification of the bidder, should be deposited in the Tender Box, located at the reception area of the Central Bank of Lesotho at corner Moshoeshoe & Airport Roads, no later than April 9, 2010 at 14h30

4.       Bids will be opened the same day at 14h30 in the Central Bank Auditorium.  Bidders or their representatives who wish to attend are welcome.

5.       Proponents must indicate their relevant experience in gymnasium equipment sales and supply and substantiated by appropriate references.

6.       Proponents must show skills availability to provide services to the Centre.

7.       Proponents are solely responsible for their own costs in preparing the proposal and for subsequent negotiations with the Bank, if any. The Bank will not be liable to any Proponent for any claims in preparing a proposal whatsoever.

8.       Certified copies of current traders license, VAT clearance certificates or equivalent must be submitted with the bid.

9.       Central Bank is not bound to accept the lowest or any bid.

10.   Recent financial statement of the bidder duly signed by an audit firm or practicing chartered accountant 

11.   Bidders must expressly respond to specifications as stipulated in the advertisement.

12.   Bidders are requested to quote in Maloti or Rands only and should be inclusive of 14% value added tax.

Special notes

·         Bidders are expected to ensure strict compliance with the above specifications and conditions, failure to do so will result in disqualification of bids.

·         All bidders are advised that a Vendor Exclusion Policy shall apply where necessary; copies of the policy may be obtained from the Secretary.

·         Bidders are to note that the Central bank of Lesotho shall apply withholding tax obligation when effecting payment.
