Applications are invited from suitably qualified
Lesotho citizens to fill the position of Analyst
in the Off-Site Surveillance Section within the
Financial Institutions Supervision Division
Reporting to Section Head, Off-Site Supervision, the
incumbent will be responsible for the monitoring of
the financial condition of banks and other licensed
institutions and their compliance with laws and
regulations governing them. Specific duties will
include the following :
- To prepare financial analysis based on the balance sheets and
income statements submitted by all licensed
institutions.

To review compliance with laws and regulations by all
licensed institutions and to prepare brief reports
based on compliance reviews conducted.
- To recommend appropriate supervisory actions, the conduct of
examination (full scope or special purpose) to
address areas of concern arising out of the
compliance reviews and financial analyses.
- To co-ordinate with the Research Department and other
departments of the Central Bank in gathering data
and other information relevant to financial analysis
work.
- To maintain a database of the financial performance of all
licensed institutions.
Requirements:
Applicants must have any of the following qualifications: B. Com, BA
Accounting, BBA, RA or equivalent Banking
qualifications. Candidates with strong analytical
skills will have an added advantage.
