Applications are
invited from suitably qualified Lesotho Nationals to
fill the position of Head, Non-Banks Supervision
Division of the Supervision Department at the
Central Bank of Lesotho.
OBJECTIVES:
To promote the innovations and development of the Non-Banks
Financial Institutions on the basis of strengthened
supervisory oversight and risk-prevention.
Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to the Director of Supervision, the
incumbent will perform the following duties and
responsibilities:
· To
prepare long-term plans for the division in line
with the overall objectives of the Supervision
Department.
·
To
participate in formulating regulatory framework and
issuing directives to the NBFIs.
· To
ensure that the Division undertakes on-site
inspection and follow-up as well as off-site
surveillance and scrutiny of various returns.
· To
review and present both On-Site and Off-Site reports
together with recommendations to management.
·
To
attend to complaints relating to NBFI sector and
initiate deterrent against the errant operators.
·
To
prepare, monitor and control the division budget to
ensure that expenditure is in line with the
divisional plans and programs.
·
Prepare performance appraisal reports for Section
Heads and review performance appraisals made by
Section Heads in order to recommend appropriate
recognition of individual performance.
·
To
liaise with regional supervisors of the Non-Banks
Financial Institutions in order to harmonize
supervision of the non-bank financial institutions
in the region.
Qualifications and experience:
Required qualifications are MBA/CA/CIA/CIMA, plus seven (7)
years relevant experience, three (3) of which should
be at senior managerial level.
