JOB OPPORTUNITIES 

Applications are invited from suitably qualified Lesotho national to fill the following two positions in the Human Resource Division at the Central bank of Lesotho:

I.          PERSONNEL OFFICER

Reporting directly to Senior Manager Personnel Administration, the Personnel Officer will be responsible for the following duties and responsibilities:

  1. Ensure that daily work in progress regarding Human Resource issues is in compliance with internal policies and procedures.
  2. Explain Human Resource policies to staff of the Bank.
  3. Draft initial charge sheets on disciplinary matters.
  4. Notes relevant concerns and provide such information for review and/or development of policies as required.
  5. Provide information on subordinates’ tasks for the drawing of annual work programme.
  6. Ensure that the relevant requirements are budgeted for annually.
  7. Coordinate the logistics of performance appraisal and other divisional functions.
  8. Compile all the necessary HR related data for instant or periodic reporting.
  9. Liaises with Staff association Committee on issues of common interest e.g. deaths, staff functions & events.
  10. Ensure that the relevant sectional requirements are budgeted for annually.
  11. Appraise subordinate staff.
  12. Perform such other HR related functions as necessary.

II.         RECRUITMENT & TRAINING OFFICER

Reporting directly to Senior Manager Recruitment and Training, the Training Officer will be responsible for the following duties and responsibilities:

  1. Ensure that daily work in process regarding training and recruitment complies with internal policies and procedures.
  2. Counsel Bank staff on training policy and procedures, counsel job applicants on issues regarding recruitment.
  1. Collect and input relevant information for the development of new policies as required.
  2. Note relevant concerns from staff and provide such information during the review of policies.
  3. Provide the required information on subordinates’ tasks for the drawing of annual work programme.
  4. Prepare job adverts for placement in media.
  5. Carry out the screening process of job applicants.
  6. Coordinate arrangements for interviews.
  7. Coordinate the logistics of training & recruitment activities e.g. in-house training venues, resource persons, student results, payment of fees, security clearances etc.
  8. Compile training & recruitment data for instant or periodic reporting.
  9. Ensure that the relevant sectional requirements are budgeted for annually.
  10. Appraise subordinate staff periodically.
  11. Perform such other related recruitment and training functions as directed.

QUALIFICATIONS

BBA or BA Administration or BA Human Resource/Industrial Psychology or similar equivalent qualification. Prior working experience in the field of Human Resource is not necessary but will be an added advantage. 

Computer literacy is essential.
