OBJECTIVES:

The incumbent will be in charge of Network and Security Administration as well as providing ICT (Information and Communication Technology) support to users in the Bank.

Responsibilities:

Reporting directly to Senior Infrastructure and Security Administrator, the incumbent will have the following key responsibilities:

• Maintain high uptime on network and security systems, including host security in terms of antivirus updates and upgrades as well as other relevant software patches.

• Ensure that windows/network backups are undertaken and that they conform to relevant policies so as to enable recovery from data and/or hard losses, and periodically test the backups to ensure their adequacy in terms of recovery from disasters.

• Maintain various hardware components and configurations: Servers, firewalls, routers and switches as well as business applications under jurisdiction of the Networking and Infrastructure section. These business applications include, but are not limited to, administration of the email system (Domino Notes), Web filter and IDS.

• Produce and maintain servers and network infrastructure documentation, to ensure operational continuity.

• Attend and resolve calls assigned through the help-desk system.

• Assist in the assessment and review of ICT policies governing the use of network infrastructure and other business systems.

• Provide supervision to the Support Technician (Networking).

REQUIREMENTS:

a)       Applicants must have an Information Technology or Computer Science degree (from a recognised institution) with a networking content plus at least three (3) years experience in IT.

b)       At least one of the following certifications is a requirement: Microsoft Certified professional (MCP), CCNA or N+
