INVITATION TO RE-TENDER

 SALE OF IMMOVABLE PROPERTY

 The Central Bank of Lesotho is desirous of selling its rights over the residential immovable property, including improvements thereon, situated at Koalabata in the Maseru Peri Urban Area. The building consists of single storey detached building constructed of an old type (dark colour) loti face brick external walls. There are no internal walls, roofing, windows and door frames.

The Central Bank of Lesotho hereby invites bids for the purchase of the property. A site visit shall be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at 10h00, when a tour of the property shall be conducted for interested bidders. All queries will be addressed at the site visit.

The revised reserve price is M50 000.00 (Fifty Thousand Maloti only).

Tender conditions:

a)       Bids bearing no identification of the Bidder must be enclosed in sealed envelopes clearly marked: “Bid for immovable property”. Bids must be deposited in the tender box located in the reception area of the Central Bank of Lesotho situated at corner Moshoeshoe & Airport roads, no later than 14h30 Thursday, March 19th 2009.

b)       Bidders must be Basotho persons or corporates.

c)       Bids must clearly identify the bidder with a written undertaking to purchase the property stipulating the bid amount. Negotiations with the Central Bank of Lesotho will not be entered into.

d)       Bidders must give a written undertaking to purchase the property at the submitted bid amount.

e)       Bidders are requested to quote in Maloti or Rands only.

f)         The Central Bank of Lesotho is not bound to necessarily accept the highest or any bid.

g)       The successful bidder shall enter into a Deed of Sale agreement with the Central Bank of Lesotho.

h)       Bids will not be considered unless deposited in the tender box.
