The
Central Bank of Lesotho intends to enter into a 12
months contract for the maintenance of, a) indoor
swimming pool b) outdoor swimming pool and c)
filtration plant at the Lehakoe Recreation and
Cultural Centre.
The
maintenance should include, but not be limited to,
a) carrying out a series of comprehensive
checks and tests on the treatment plant, as well as
a detailed inspection, b) making necessary
adjustments to the treatment plant to ensure it is
working at optimum efficiency, c) detailed
reports which outline not only what has been done,
but also any potential problem areas.
Tender Conditions
1. The
non-mandatory site inspection is scheduled
for Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at the Centre at
10:00hrs.
2. Bidders
must clearly show the validity of their bids.
3. Bids
in sealed envelopes clearly marked “Bid for the
maintenance contract of swimming pools” bearing
no identification of the bidder, should be deposited
in the tender box, located at the reception area of
Central Bank of Lesotho at corner Moshoeshoe &
Airport Roads, no later than 14:30hrs Friday,
October 2, 2009.
4. Bids
will be opened the same day at 14h30 in the Central
Bank Auditorium. Bidders or their representatives
who wish to attend are welcome.
5. Certified
copies of current traders license, VAT clearance
certificates or equivalents must be submitted with
the bid.
6. Recent
financial statement of the bidder duly signed by an
audit firm or practicing chartered accountant.
7. Bidders
are to note that the Bank may require a performance
guarantee of no more than 10% of the bid amount
8. Bidders
must expressly respond to specifications as
stipulated in the advertisement. References to
material of which the bidder is not the author shall
not constitute a response or part thereof.
9. Bidders
are requested to quote in Maloti or Rands only.
10. Central
Bank of Lesotho is not bound to accept the lowest or
any bid.

Special notes:
1.
Bidders are expected to ensure strict compliance
with the above conditions. Failure to do so, will
result in the disqualification of their bids.
2.
All
bidders are advised that a vendor exclusion policy
shall apply. Copies of the policy may be obtained
from the Secretary.
3.
Bidders are to note that the Central Bank of Lesotho
may apply Withholding Tax obligations when effecting
payment.
