Tenders are invited from locally registered printers for the printing of the Bank’s annual report, quarterly and monthly reviews per the following specifications:

1)      600 copies of the Bank’s Annual report for 2008.

Specifications

2)          500 copies of quarterly reviews of 90 pages each for 2009 (4 issues)

3)           200 copies of monthly economic review of 8 pages each for January to December, 2009.

 Tender conditions

a)       Bidders must clearly show, i) delivery period and ii) validity of bids.

b)       Bids bearing no identification of the bidder must be enclosed in sealed envelopes clearly marked “Tender for the printing of Research publications” to be deposited in the tender box located at the reception area of Central Bank of Lesotho situate at corner Moshoeshoe & Airport roads, no later than 14:30 hours, Friday, May 15, 2009.

c)       Bids will be opened same day at 14:30 hours in the Central Bank of Lesotho Auditorium. Bidder’s representatives who wish to attend are welcome.

d)       Bidders are advised that during bid opening, only the name of the bidders, bid amount and condition (e) will be publicly announced.

e)       Certified copies of VAT, Income Tax compliance certificates and traders licences must be submitted together with the bid.

f)         Recent financial statement of the bidder duly signed by an audit firm or practicing chartered accountant.

g)       Bidders are to note that the bank may require a performance guarantee of no more than 10% of the bid amount

h)       Bidders are requested to quote in Maloti or Rands only.

i)         Bidders must expressly respond to specifications as stipulated in the advertisement.  References to material of which the bidder is not the author shall not constitute a response or part thereof.

j)         Bidders can bid for the printing of all or any one of the publications.

k)       Central Bank of Lesotho is not bound to necessarily accept the lowest or any bid.

l)         Bids will not be considered unless deposited in the tender box.

Special notes

·   Bidders are expected to ensure strict compliance with the above specifications and conditions, failure to do so will result in disqualification of bids.

·   All Bidders are advised that a Vendor Exclusion Policy shall apply, copies of the policy may be obtained from the Secretary.

·   Bidders are to note that the Central Bank of Lesotho may apply Withholding Tax obligation when effecting payment.
